My Most Anticipated Films of 2024
Переглядів 654 місяці тому
There are some pretty interesting releases this year, so let's go over the one's that I'm most looking forward to. NOTE: Terrifier 3 wasn't on the list but I promise, it wouldn't have been mentioned in a positive light anyway, so that's probably for the best. Didn’t even know there was a Lost Boys one. That’s awesome! I just have the standard 4K and it’s a great disc!

The Scarlet Box right? That was a sweet set.
@@zombievictim yeah!!
Final destination taught me as a kid that anything and everything will kill you
The servant was a good tv show great actors all around it's just a really well made tv show which is why i went to go watch the omen and i was not disappointed it a great movie I think it's worth getting apple tv for a month to watch the servant and when your done with that tv show you can watch silo and severance i think you can watch all of them in one month it's worth it like that
That's great to hear! Thanks for letting me know. I'm definitely going to check it out then. I loved Severance!
Loved First Omen...even though I'm having trouble wrapping my head with THAT retcon. Late Night with the Devil was the horror surprise of the year. I haven't seen Immaculate yet.
Rewatched all three this weekend. First Omen may be my favorite film of the year so far. I really loved it. Late Night With the Devil is right behind it. Immaculate has some good scenes.
I got some heat for saying that in Immaculate, i thought Sydney Sweeney was terrible for the first act or so, but way better in the intense spots. Pretty much exactly like you said. I went in blind and saw the film opening day and was pretty blown away by the ending. Maybe not an amazing film, but pretty good and well worth seeing.
I enjoyed it. Doesn't hit as hard as I wanted it to but it's pretty ballsy for a wide theatrical release.
@@zombievictim Totally. If I had expectations at the time, maybe I would have felt different. But my take on Immaculate and the First Omen line up almost exactly with yours.
Thanks for an interesting look at what's coming up and what you are looking forward to! I am interested in quite a few of these, and some others, as well, though I have to wait for the home release on everything now. Dune is my most anticipated this year, as it was last year before it was moved. Some others I am most looking forward to are: Ordinary Angels Road House Monkey Man The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (I have been a fan of Guy Ritchie since Lock, Stock and enjoy most of his work, with a handful of notable--and rather terrible--exceptions; however, lately he has been making a lot that I really like, and most are not even in the genre he is most known for like Aladdin, Wrath of Man, and The Covenant. The Gentlemen was of course a British gangster flick, but I thought it was a terrific return to form, anyway) Boy Kills World The Fall Guy Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes Furiosa IF (on board to check it out after the first two A Quiet Place films from Krasinski) Horizon (it's Kevin Costner's two-part Western saga--the trailer is out now, if you want to check it out--I am a huge fan of Westerns, and really like Costner's work in the genre, especially the last film he directed, Open Range) The Bikeriders (from Jeff Nichols, the man who made Mud, Midnight Special, and Take Shelter, so I am very interested) A Quiet Place: Day One Longlegs Alien: Romulus (Fede Alvarez--liked most of his work so far quite well, and just recently checked out Calls on Apple+--if you haven't seen/heard it, give it a go!) Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Gladiator 2 (Ridley has had his ups and downs in the past two decades, but the addition of Denzel has me cautiously optimistic) Nosferatu (what a way to end the year! I was not fully on board with The Witch, but I have liked Eggers' next two each more than the last, and I also dug his short films, so I am looking forward to his take on this story, also having liked both previous versions) I am interested enough to check out a number of the others listed, as well. There are several that might come out this year that I also really want to see, that are either supposed to be in post-production, like Anora (Sean Baker), Megalopolis (Coppola), and Rebel Ridge (Jeremy Saulnier), or even listed as completed, such as Havoc, the new Gareth Evans film starring Tom Hardy.
Hi, Tyler. I know it is the beginning of February, but I just found this video. I am still checking out some top movies lists of 2023, so I watched yours, too, and I really enjoyed it. While I haven't seen a number of the movies on the list, I am still planning to check quite a few of them out, and I appreciate the reminder and/or recommendation of some of them. Of the nearly 500 feature films I watched last year, only about 50 were 2023 releases (I do tend to enjoy movies from the 20th century more, and I also can't go to the theater anymore so I don't keep up with new releases like I used to, and when I look for something to watch the options are so vast that I don't end up choosing the new releases much of the time). So, I have some more to catch up with (The Iron Claw, Godzilla Minus One, Red Rooms, Poor Things, and May December are some of the ones you listed that I most want to see still, along with American Fiction, The Zone of Interest, Monster, and quite a few more). Still, I will share my current top 10: Oppenheimer, The Holdovers, Killers of the Flower Moon, Anatomy of a Fall, Past Lives, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Air, The Covenant, Society of the Snow, and Maestro. I think the first half dozen are pretty locked in the top 10, though I can see the order changing as I revisit some of them (and see a few more from last year), and a few I expect may fall off when I catch up with more (I will probably just expand to a top 20 at that point and get a couple more of my honorable mentions on that list, as well). Now too we can look ahead to this year's releases. Is there any chance that you will do a video covering your anticipated movies of 2024?
That's a great Top 10. 2023 treated us to some fantastic films. Thanks for sharing yours. As for an anticipated films of 2024 video...yeah, I'm sure that will be on the channel soon. Thanks for watching!
You're welcome! Yes, I was quite pleased with this year of film from what I have seen so far, and also with many of the nominated films. I would say that 2023 was for me the best year cinematically since 2019 (though there were still many great releases in 2021 and 2022). I will look forward to checking out more videos on your channel, and I will keep an eye out for your most anticipated of the year, for sure.
I love ❤️ you’re podcast is pretty cool 😎
Hey broseph, Where can an American watch this?
The airbag pole got me the first time i saw it 💯 very punchy lol
Hey Tyler, good to see you. I miss the arrow in the head stuff, so, thanks for keeping us updated 🙂
I really miss their show, too! I hope John, Lance, and Tyler can get together and do some kind of show or podcast again in the future.
Hello there. would you please make a review video and talk about Les Chambres Rouges now? I kinda like your review. Good luck T.
I appreciate that. I'll be doing a Best of the Year video that covers this one.
Great! I'll be waiting for that one. You know, I saw this movie last night. I don't know the main girl was good or evil? Why she changed? It would be very helpful for me if you make a review about this one. This movie was special. Good Luck my friend. Dan is my name.@@zombievictim
Hello. Whose place Sara went to at the end of the movie and took a selfie there!??

I love the dead silence poster in the back lol Loved that film when I was younger
Thanks man. Shout Factory released a fantastic bluray this year. Film is rough around the edges but it’s a great presentation.
Will have to check it out its been awhile since ive watched it, probably not as "great" as I remember but loved the idea of the movie, similiar to stay alive back in the day lol loved them when I was younger idk about now but its the concept of them I like@@zombievictim

So We Brutalize WBD to Unshelve Coyote VS Acme!
Yay you’re back 🙌🏻🙌🏻 hope you’re doing well!!😀 I’ve moved house since August so it’s been great to have my own place now 😃
I liked Pearl but ya no not Oscar worthy 😅 & i llloooooovvveddd Infinity Pool so good & Possessor really excited me it just was so original and done so well.
Infinity Pool isn't being talked about nearly enough.
This movie suck.
Can someone please tell me where I can watch this movie
It was picked up by the same people that released We're All Going To the World's Fair, so I assume it will have a similar release strategy.
I can tell you. it's a website. If you have not watch it now, just tell me.
@@siaavashm1378 please tell me
Please tell me. There is no US release date and thank you!! @@siaavashm1378
The commentary is so obnoxious i had to skip it. Idk who the teenage cucks are recording themselves but they add nothing to the experience. just stfu and watch the movie.
I just watched the movie today, was an amazing experience.
Is there a trailer out for this?
Unfortunately, there is not.
Nicely done video. Threw you a subscription.
Really appreciated your thoughts here. I’ve been sucked into RT & critics’ reviews swaying me away from seeing interesting films. I should just trust my gut and see whatever I find interesting, like when I was a kid.
Thanks so much! I think many of us can fall victim to that so it's always important to just disconnect and look at the film in as much of a bubble as possible.
The first part was kinda paranormal but rest was like death took the natural course
Terry when you like to talk, Issac when you take something that isn't your
All I know is when "Dust in the wind" comes on I IMMEDIATELY change the station
Amazing. Thanks for sharing this with everyone
H 1 (As if there was any doubt,) 10/10 H VI PC The stone ending works! 9.5/10 H KILLS Sent chills down my spine. 9.5/10 H ENDS Shockingly great. 9/10 H VI Tommy is a great scarred genius. 8/10 H III It really isn't bad. 7/10 H V Better than it gets credit for. 7/10 H IV Tries to find its way again. 6/10 RZ Tried to regroup. 5/10 H2O Kind...of works. 4/10 H II Some good moments. 3/10 H 2018 Too much guy hatred. 2/10 RZ II Better than RESURRECTION (Not hard!) 1/10 RESURRECTION ZERO STARS! FU BR! GO ROT!
I agree. Mia goth was not the next option lol. It’s the same people who thought Tom cruise was gonna be nominated.
Couldn't agree more.

Most idiotic franchise ever..
I'm fucking pissed that you didn't include Franky Cheeks... but at the same time you had Candice at #1 so I have to forgive you.
Notice in the first movie Miss Lewton's computer monitor is the big kinds they had back then. By the time they made part 5 we all had flat screens, which we see in the movie. However part 5 takes place BEFORE part 1.
The only kill from FD4 that made it onto the list is literally one that only happens in a premonition
Candace DOESN'T DIE in the bridge accident is what confuses me. She gets across the bridge to safety and is still alive and safe when the premonition ends.
Uhm…no, she falls and gets impaled on the mast of a boat…I think you’re thinking about Molly.
@@coreybarnes3369 Ah, yes, you're right lol.
SAW had more inventive traps . Also a more intelligent villain.

I’d say the first girl had it the most brutal.. Being grinded up by gears ⚙️ FEET first 😮
